  • How often should I have my heating and cooling system serviced?

    It is recommended to have professional servicing performed once a year.  This regular maintenance helps ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and longevity of your system.  Scheduling a service appointment before the start of a heating or cooling season is advisable.  If you notice any unusual performance issues such as reduced airflow, unusual noises, or inconsistent heating/cooling, its wise to have your system serviced promptly, regardless of the time of year.  You might ask us about a Mechanical Brothers maintenance agreement which offers many perks and benefits beyond normal and ordinary maintenance. 

  • How should I prepare for a service call?

    Having an issue with your heating or cooling system can be stressful.  You can trust our technician and their experience to figure the problem out and get you back running as soon as possible.  To lend a hand to our technicians, it's a good idea to know where your equipment is located and ensure it's easily reachable by clearing any clutter. Giving them a bit of elbow room to work their magic can make all the difference. While our furry friends may be thrilled with any new faces in the house, they'd surely appreciate having their own special spot.Be ready to explain clearly what problems you’ve had and when the problems have began.  And if your air conditioner is acting up, it's best to give it a break until our service pro arrives to save the day! 


    There are a few simple items you can check yourself as to avoid a service call. 

    • Make sure your thermostat is set to the “heat” or “cool” position 
    • Check your circuit breakers and switch near the furnace is in the “on” position
    • Have you changed your filter recently?
